- What are dermal fillers?
A dermal filler is a substance which is injected into the skin to plump it up, make it firmer and smooth out lines and wrinkles.
What dermal fillers do we use?
Manufactured in Switzerland, Teosyal is an Award Winning “100%
hyaluronic acid based”, wrinkle-filling products. These products are
highly biocompatible and are slowly absorbed. Teosyal can be injected
into the entire face, neckline, neck and hands.
Naturally present in the skin, hyaluronic acid preserves moisturising levels in the skin and boosts tone.
Hyaluronic
acid is a powerful moisturising agent, the quantity of which in the
dermis gradually decreases with age. As a result, the skin dries out and
becomes fragile, and the first wrinkles appear.
The tissues progressively sag and the face becomes hollow.
Injected

- Are dermal fillers safe?

Dermal fillers are extremely safe with a low incidence of allergic reaction. There is, however, a very small possibility of allergic reaction, which will be discussed with you when you visit your consultant. You can expect some degree of redness and swelling after the treatment, which usually clears up within 1-2 days. How are dermal fillers applied?
Dermal fillers are injected, usually without the need for local anaesthetic, into lines and wrinkles to plump them out. The dermal filler then remains in the skin, where it binds water to produce a lift and give firmness to the treated area.
